In an exciting collaboration, Studio On Fire proudly brought to life the packaging and book covers for Field Notes' special edition memo book set, aptly named "Foiled Again." Available for general purchase, the silver box set is embellished with exquisite blue foil that seamlessly complements the blue notebooks within. Field Notes subscribers, however, are treated to an even more luxurious experience – an exclusive gold box set adorned with resplendent red foil, paired with a set of red notebooks that shimmer with gold accents. This dual offering encapsulates the essence of craftsmanship and sophistication that both Studio On Fire and Field Notes stand for.

EXCEPTIONAL FOIL STAMPING
Studio On Fire has garnered renown for its mastery in impression-based printing, especially hot foil stamping. Our distinction within the printing industry comes from our unparalleled willingness to meticulously calibrate pressure, temperature, and registration in order to achieve exceptional results. It's this level of care and detail that sets our team apart.
The intricate notebook cover and tuck box designs went through our prepress team to prep the artwork to optimize our tooling for production. These underwent a complex foil stamping process, across multiple paper colorways and foils before precision die-cutting and fold/glue. This intricate interplay of design and packaging is a testament to our commitment to excellence and our processes that demand unwavering precision and attention to detail.

PAPER:
Boxes: The blue box was produced using Neenah Pearl “Sterling” 104# cover stock. The gold box was produced using Neenah Pearl “Bright Gold” 104# cover stock.
Notebook Covers: The blue notebook covers were produced using Neenah Pearl “Indigo” 105# cover stock. The gold notebook covers were produced using Neenah Pearl “Poppy” 105# cover stock.
METHODS USED:
Boxes: The blue boxes were hot foil stamped using Infinity MX 25 Dark Blue foil on a Saroglia press. The gold boxes were hot foil stamped using Infinity MX 49 Maroon foil also on one of our Saroglias.
Notebook Covers: The blue notebook covers were hot foil stamped using Infinity MX 17 Matte Silver foil on our KAMA press. The gold notebook covers were hot foil stamped using Infinity MX 84 Matte Gold foil on our KAMA as well.
DESIGN
The graphics on the boxes and notebooks for this special edition release by Field Notes were supplied by Field Notes co-founder, Aaron Draplin.
