hightone, by exotic matter

Hightone is one of our clients that uses our patented child-resistant structure—Craft Lock Box. They use the classic size for all three strains of their pre-rolls.

Hightone is a high-quality cannabis brand based out of Michigan. Each of their blends is represented by a different metallic holographic foil color (a SOF favorite). Interior inserts were custom designed to hold 5 pre-rolls per box.

Pre-roll boxes & Insert

Hightone uses the classic size of Craft Lock Box for their three strains of mini pre-rolls. The outer box was foil stamped and assembled on our fold & glue machine. The inserts are also foil stamped and folded/glued at SOF before being sent to Hightone where the pre-rolls were inserted and sealed in a plastic bag.

Craft Lock Box

These custom boxes are Studio On Fire’s patent-pending child-resistant packaging solution. Craft Lock Box was developed over several years to ensure it was intuitive to use, able to be 100% made-of-paper and fully recyclable. We’re especially proud to say that it is 100% made in the USA (which can be incredibly helpful, especially in these days of spotty supply chain issues). Learn more about it on the Craft Lock Box page.

Paper:

The outer sleeve of Hightone’s packaging was foil stamped with holographic foils on Neenah Classic Crest in Epic Black.

Methods Used:

The outer sleeve was foil stamped in three different foils (one foil for each strain). The insert was also foil stamped, but in white. Both the insert and outer sleeve were diecut before going through our fold/glue machine. The inner rigid tray was also made here at Studio On Fire.

Design:

The graphics of Hightone’s packaging were done by Mike Hester at Pavement. The structural design was, of course, done by Studio On Fire, it is our patented-pending product after all!
