We Drink Tequila is a luxury tequila club, whose members receive curated quarterly shipments of limited production tequilas made exclusively from small batch, family owned distilleries in Jalisco. LETTERPRESS PRINTED WRAPPING PAPER
We Drink Tequila wanted an additional layer of packaging to make their members opening experience even more special. Using their branding icons, we produced one of a kind paper wraps for their bottles. Getting a fragile and thin sheet of paper through a large press and making it look impeccable takes a lot of hard work! Our experienced and dedicated team of press operators masterfully letterpress printed these sheets on our Vandercook press with custom mixed ink.
FOIL STAMPED & KISSCUT LABELS
Hand placed on each bottle for a premium craft approach, each label was designed to highlight textures, color and showcase the details of the estate bottled tequila. These label sheets were stamped with multiple foils and a heated blind, before being kisscut into custom shapes that fit perfectly on the bottle. Each label had a space for hand numbering the limited edition run for an extra special touch.

PAPER:
Tissue: The letterpress printed tissue was produced using 2 Mil White Tissue Paper.
Labels: The white labels were produced using Neenah Estate Label #9 in Cream Laid Finish, Wet Strength Pressure Sensitive.
METHODS USED:
Tissue The wrapping tissue was expertly printed using letterpress printing by our press operators. These sheets were printed on one of our Vandercook presses, for the extra attention to detail this fragile paper needed to be printed perfectly.
Labels: The white labels were foil stamped using a variety of foils, followed up by being kisscut for easy application later on. The stamping included a heated blind pass, silver foil, red foil, black foil, and a gold foil pass. Our expert press operators lined each pass up perfectly.
DESIGN
The labels as well as the pattern on the wrapping paper, were expertly designed by Patrick Tracey.
Our talented prepress team got the designs print ready for multiple passes of foil stamping on the labels, and letterpress printing on the wrapping paper.
